Komori Corporation (Sumida-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO:
Satoshi Mochida) is pleased to announce that Komori has won the Silver Prize
and the Special Jury Prize (Japan Paper Association Prize) in the first
category (B-to-B corporate calendar category) at the 77th National Calendar
Exhibition, sponsored by the Japan Federation of Printing Industries.
Calendars are recognized as a form of communication that
effectively conveys a company's cultural message and serves as a printing
medium that enhances living spaces. The National Calendar Exhibition serves as
a prestigious competition acknowledging exceptional achievements in calendar
printing technology, meticulous planning, and innovative design. The evaluation
criteria encompass not only aesthetic aspects but also the functionality and
practicality of the calendars.
As a printing press manufacturer,
Komori focuses on producing original calendars in order to promote the brand
value of paper media.
The artwork for the 2026 Komori Calendar is titled “NEO
HOKUSAI”. The creative unit ENLIGHTENMENT has reconstructed the masterpiece
“Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji” by the Edo-period ukiyo-e artist Katsushika
Hokusai using a contemporary perspective and computer technology. This
collection, where natural beauty harmonizes with modern geometric patterns,
express the calendar’s theme: “FUSION ‘Nature & Technology’”. Printed
entirely on Komori presses, it leverages RGB printing with the J-throne 29, a
cutting-edge UV inkjet digital press, combined with the unique capabilities of
multi-color offset presses, enhancing the artwork’s quality through print
technology. We invite you to enjoy this new world of expression born from the
fusion of tradition and innovation.
As your partner, Komori will continue to create value that exceeds expectations—value that inspires awe.
